4 Problems Found in the new iPhone 5
Apple fans that waited in line last September 21 finally get their hands on the new iPhone 5.
Consumers who ordered the device on their respective carriers also received the device and are now enjoying the taller and smaller iPhone. However, despite some of the new amazing features of the new iPhone, there are some problems found in the device.
Below are some of the problems found in the new smartphone of the Cupertino-based company.
1. Maps - Considered as one of the biggest mistakes of Apple is its new iOS maps, which replaced Google maps in the device. It is a good thing that Google Maps is still available as an app in the Aps Store.
2. Camera - Many iPhone 5 users may have experience taking a photo and see laser-green dots accompanying your photos. This is due to the flaring problem with the upgraded camera on the iPhone 5.
Apple released a statement saying, “Our engineering team just gave me this information and we recommend that you angle the camera away from the bright light source when taking pictures. The purple flare in the image provided is considered normal behavior for iPhone 5′s camera…”
3. WiFi/Data - One of the biggest problems experienced by iPhone 5 users, especially those in the US, is the bug on the data consumption of the device. Many consumers are complaining about the unexpected data bills during their first few days of owning the phone.
It is occurring mostly for Verizon customers, but some AT&T users are reporting the same issue as well. Some complain that they have used a full month’s worth of data in just a couple of days, even though they were mostly using Wi-Fi.
Apple rolled out an update for the iPhone 5 this Sunday to fix a bug that cost users their precious cellular data while they were connected to a Wi-Fi network. The carrier update was for Verizon.
4. Case - Some people claimed that the device being prone to scratches on its metal back. Moreover, there are limited choices for iPhone 5 cases as third party accessory companies had little time to develop a series of cases.
Many of the top third-party companies are just now starting to release cases to accommodate the iPhone 5′s taller screen and slimmer body. Case-Mate, Belkin and Griffin appear to be adding new designs every few days.

Windows 7 Preferred Over Windows 8 OS?
With just a few days left for Windows 8 official launch on Oct. 26, early adopters of Windows 8 were recently polled to know their favorite Windows operating system and majority preferred Windows 7.
The results were published on Forumswindows8.com, a large Windows 8 help and support forum on the Internet. Among the 50,000 users who were polled on the forum, 53% preferred Windows 7, Windows 8: 25%, XP: 20% and other: 2%.
The view is also upheld by research house Gartner. Analysts Steve Kleyhans and Michael Silver state that companies using XP and seeking to upgrade to Windows 7 should not be distracted by Windows 8, ZDNet reported.
“Get Windows 7 done, and then you can start to experiment and dabble with Windows 8, but don’t let Windows 8 derail your Windows 7 upgrade project.
Windows 8 is billed as a “plumbing,” upgrade that drastically changes technology sans major improvement.
Most users and IT departments will find the interface to be too different and may find the presence of two interfaces in Windows 8 quite confusing.
Among the most favored features in Windows 8 were: Fast boot and shutdown: 55%; Easy installation: 50%; Internet Explorer 10: 35%; Restart/ Restore capabilities: 28%; Built-in application integration: 26%; Windows Explorer: 25%; App Store: 23%; and Metro: 22%.
With people who are passionate over Windows 8 preferring Windows 7, in the ratio of two to one, the development definitely does not bode well for the forthcoming Windows 8 OS launch.

The fable of the top-down convertible sports car with fantastic acceleration, blistering speed, lively handling and dashing good looks is readily available to the driver of the 2013 Porsche Boxster S.

become quite large, causing Internet Explorer to slow down or
malfunction. Cleaning up unneeded files, scanning for disk errors
and defragmenting the hard drive can help to restore some zip to
your system. Try to run once a month for peak performance.
1. Double-click the My Computer icon.

Tips to Keep your Computer Running Smoothly
Tips to Keep your Computer Running Smoothly
1. Never, never, turn your computer off with the power switch until Windows has shut down.
The one exception to this rule is when your computer locks up and your hard drive is not running (hard drive light is not blinking). In this situation, you can turn the power off without harmful effects to the hard drive. As cutting the power can also result in lost data or Windows files, you should only do this when you have to.
Following this rule will prevent permanent hard drive defects caused by the hard drive heads contacting the surface of the drive disc, and it will prevent a host of Windows problems. Whenever possible, recover from crashes by pressing the Ctrl + Alt + Delete keys at the same time. Press them again to reboot your computer.

Whenever possible, recover from crashes by pressing the Ctrl + Alt + Delete keys at the same time. Press them again to reboot your computer.
2. I highly recommend that you purchase an UPS (uninteruptable power supply) for your computer. This will keep your computer from crashing during power outages, and will protect your computer from low and high voltage occurrences.
An UPS is far superior to a surge protector and will save your computer from almost any type of power disaster. (See #1 above for what happens when your computer crashes.)

3. Backup, backup, backup, any data you cannot afford to lose to at least two separate physical drives. So backup data to external hard drives, Zip disks, CD-RWs etc. The time to backup is when you create something you can’t afford to lose. Don’t wait until tomorrow.
4. Run Scandisk and Defragment at least once a month. This will keep your hard drive healthy and prevent crashes. Alternatively, purchase Norton Utilities and use it to keep your hard drive healthy.
5. Never unplug peripherals from the computer when it is powered up. Unplugging with the power on can short out the connector socket or the motherboard.
The only exception to this rule is if you know a peripheral is “hot pluggable”. If you do not know what “hot pluggable” means then ignore this exception.
The only exception to this rule is if you know a peripheral is “hot pluggable”. If you do not know what “hot pluggable” means then ignore this exception.
6. Do keep at least 300 MBs of your C: drive free for Windows to use. If you use Windows XP or Vista then you should have 400-600 MBs of free space on your C: drive. If you do not have enough free space you will choke Windows and it will start dumping data to your hard drive, or it will just get really, really, slow. Use the ADD/Delete tool in the Windows Control Panel to delete unneeded programs from your drive.
You can also use Cleansweep included in Norton Utilities to clean up your drive. If you do use Cleansweep or another hard drive cleaner, do not delete shared files unless you back them up. The cleaners do a rotten job of knowing if another program uses shared files.

7. Do not let a lot of programs load up when you start your computer. They use valuable memory and Windows Resources (Windows internal workspace). All programs in your Windows System Tray (in the lower left of your screen) are running on your computer. Close them if you don’t need them or run them and configure them not to load when you boot up.
Other programs running in the background can be found by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete at the same time.

8. Do use a virus checker regularly. Everyone should use a virus checker. The best type of protection is continuous monitoring from a dedicated anti-virus program like Norton Antivirus. The second best thing is to use is the free online virus checkers such as Housecall provided by Trend Micro.
9. If you have a high speed Internet connection you need a firewall program. A firewall program keeps those who want to hijack your computer from gaining access to your system. You really do not want someone else running your computer. I suggest you purchase and run Norton’s Personal Firewall program. Your firewall should boot up with your computer to protect it from invasion.
Case in point: When I am online 10 hours or more with my DSL connection, my computer is usually attacked by a hacker at least once. Do not think you are safe from hackers!! Hackers use search programs to seek out computers at random. Get a firewall program and use it.

10. Keep track of the software disks you receive with your computer and new peripherals. These disks contain valuable software drivers and programs for Windows and are needed when Windows must be reloaded. Keep these disks and your Windows software disks in a safe, dry, place — you never know when you will need them.
